Amir Khan is a young sarod player, who comes from a celebrated family of musicians from Bhopal. The son of renowned tabla player Ustad Nafees Ahmed Khan, Amir was introduced to the sarod by his grandfather, legendary sarangi player Padmashri Ustad Abdul Latif Khan. He later went on to develop his skill with the instrument under sarod maestro Ustad Rehmat Ali Khan.
Though still relatively young, Amir has performed extensively across the country and has been awarded prestigious titles and awards from several different musical institutions. Currently, Amir is being trained by his elder brother and uncle, renowned Sarangi players Sarver Hussain and Farrukh Latif Khan.
